My knee wasn’t up to the quarter-mile walk to FDR’s house (Springwood), so I made due tooling around the supporting buildings, including this, the FDR Library, which (according to them) is the first of the presidential libraries.

The wide angle of the BB curve camera made this shot hard to get, but this is downhill from the main building and terrace at CIA in Hyde Park. Their campus is amazing. And when you add in the restaurants you can sample, this is a great stop [...]

The back terrace of the B&B I stayed at last nite. The room is far more modest than at the Tarrytown House, tho the rates are similar. (Resending for the bazillionth time.)

A Dutch period farm and trade center where the workers do period dress and customs a la Williamsburg.

Not owned by the Roosevelts, Rockefellers or Vanderbilts, but still an amazing grand house on the Hudson.

View out the back of the lobby. I can see the Hudson from the hallway, but not from my room. But the price point is much better than the Castle. (Resending)

Here’s where I’m not staying, as the cheapest rate was over $400 if I recall. But it’s on the top of a hill and you can see it coming into Tarrytown.

Got a few minutes until the Apple store opens, so just hanging out listening to classical radio and the fountain. Nice mix.

If I’ve done this right, this lovely pic of my cat will show up both on Flickr and my blog!
Sorry for the light blogging. I’m going thru the infatuation phase with Twitter (and now FriendFeed). But there are some things that just work better in a blog format.
Here is a Superbowl commercial that I don’t recall seeing at the time, but did see at the theater during Indy 4:
