A Merry Christmas

It may not have been white, but it was merry. With my DC-based nieces pushing 13, having to do Xmas at home was less of an issue. So my sister and her hubby packed up their car and we both headed north to daBurgh, to do Xmas with the rest of the family at Grandpa Bob and Grandma Jane’s.
Much merriment ensued, including cookie and tree decorating. The tree above was destined to go at the end of the drive by the mailbox, but the weather didn’t cooperate, and it wound up on the porch off the living room. My niece Beverly made the ninja stars from leftover wrapping paper…making some of the older generation happy that it was at least an hour or so that she wasn’t playing video games! (That said, I certainly had a great time playing Mario Party on the wireless DS Lites the kids got this year!)
After Xmas, I headed the hour or so north of the city to spend an extra couple of days with my brother and his family. I hadn’t seen my northern niece and nephew in over a year (not sure how that happened).
Then back home to enjoy a couple of quiet days before heading back to work.
I hope you and yours had a great holiday season.
