All good

This weekend turned out to be movie weekend for me. Yesterday, Margott and I saw Stranger Than Fiction, which turned me back on to Will Farrell (I couldn’t even watch his stupid Anchorman movie).

I then headed down to “babysit” my nieces (shouldn’t it be something else when they are almost 12?!) while my sister and her hubby did his holiday party. After an hour and a half playing Shrek 2 on Playstation (it took us forever to get Cinderella to the end of her shopping spree, but we did it!), we watched Ant Bully, which was a lot of fun (especially when I got to explain “regurgitation” to my nieces :).

Today, I caught up on some TiVo, and watched the recent Pride and Prejudice (sorry, the A&E/BBC version is the best…Colin Firth IS Mr. Darcy). And then I “watched” A History of Violence. Thanks to TiVo, I saw the end, then I switched to the beginning, then I fast-forwarded and fast-rewinded thru the thing so I could make sense of it (I’m not much for violent flicks). Good story, but more gore than works for me.

BTW, great trailer from yesterday: Because I Said So (gotta love chick flicks :).
