Fletcher’s Cove

C&O Canal at Fletcher's CoveThe weather was fab this weekend, so I went on a couple of photo excursions. More about yesterday’s later, as I want to scan in something relevant to it first. But here’s a snippet from today’s at Fletcher’s Cove.

Yeah, bad move taking the picture into the AM sun, but this was the more interesting view :).

Fletcher’s Cove is a few miles west of Georgetown. There is a boathouse on the Potomac, and it rents kayaks, canoes, and rowboats for use on either the C&O canal or the river.

It’s apparently also a great spot for fishing…one of the park guides told me that “three presidents” have fished there.

Please check the set on Flickr for more photos, including some colorful kayak shots.
