Someone I’ve known for decades (let’s call her Mary) just left me a long message on my answering machine that went something like this:

Hi, meant to talk with you earlier in the week, but got distracted. Hope all is well. Here’s what we’re doing this weekend. [blah blah blah for however many seconds] Maybe we can get together later this week. Seems like the weather will be good. This is Mary.

This isn’t the first time Mary has done this, but every time, it cracks me up!
