It was worth going thru the three hours of Emmy awards (on Tivo, thankfully) to get the two minutes of “award show banter” between Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert as they presented the award for best reality show.

Now here’s a seriously good entry for a Friday cat blogging photo, if I do say so myself. It’s part of my Flickr cat series, and as I say there, it’s wonderful that wireless has freed me from the desk (and cats walking or sitting on the keyboard), but they still make their presence felt!

I haven’t been online for a while, as my brother and his family were in town for a long weekend to do the touristy thing. My niece and nephew stayed with me, which gave them lots of quality time with the cats.

I got back from Nags Head just in time for DC’s annual restaurant week. This is this great promotion where over a hundred local restaurants provide a three-course fixed-price menu for a pretty reasonable price ($20/lunch, $30/dinner).
